Profile

Dr. lrawati Handayani, S.H., LL.M. earned a Bachelor of Law degree at Padjadjaran University in 2002. Dr. Irawati earned her Master of International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (LL.M) from Raoul Wallenberg Institute-Lund University in 2007. Subsequently crowned as a Doctor of Law from the University of Padjadjaran in 2016. Since 2003 she has taught in the Department of International Law in the field of International Public Law, International Treaty Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Human Rights Law, and International Law Case Studies.

As a researcher in international human rights law and international refugee law, she actively conducts research focusing on issues of Responsibility to Protect (RtoP), Jus Cogens, Justiciability of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, Migration and Refugee Law with an ASEAN focus. She also frequently presented his scientific work at international conferences such as at the ASLI 10th Annual Conference 2013 in Bangalore, India and the SEAHRN Conference in Manila in 2018. Dr. Irawati is a lecturer who has a Hague Academy of International Law Certificate certification. Currently Dr. lrawati is active as a member of the International Law Association (ILA) – Indonesian Branch and since 2014 she was appointed as Editor of the Jurnal Hukum Universitas Padjadjaran (http://jurnal.unpad.ac.id/pjih).
