On Saturday (28/11), the Faculty of Law Universitas Padjadjaran held a Global Immersion Program (GIP) 2020 alongside with UiTMLaw. This event was a symbiotic collaboration program between Faculty of Law Univeristas Padjadjaran and UiTMLaw which was held from 8.45 WIB to 17.00 WIB. The main theme for this event is Agrarian Law & Environmental Law.

The opening remarks were delivered by the Dean of UiTMLaw, Prof. Madya Dr. Hartini Saripan, then followed by the Dean of Faculty of Law Universitas Padjadjaran, represented by the Vice Dean, Gusman Siswandi, S.H., LL.M., Ph.D. who also officially opened the Global Immersion Program (GIP) 2020.

This event was divided into 3 sessions. The topic that was brought for the first session is about “Security of Tenure in Land Ownership: A Review on Malaysia and Indonesian Land Law” delivered by Dr. Nia Kurniati, S.H, M.H, lecturer from Faculty of Law Universitas Padjadjaran. Continued by Dr. Noraziah Abu Bakar, a lecturer from UiTMLaw. This event was held using the Webex platform.

The second session was conveyed by Dr. Beatriz Beatriz Garcia De Oliveira from Western Sydney University, Australia on the topic of  International Environmental Law. This session was held through Zoom meeting platform. With the interaction between panelists and the audiences that enlivened the second topic of discussion.

The third session, as well as the closing session of Global Immersion Program (GIP) 2020 talked about Sustainable Agriculture and Protection of the Environment, which was conveyed by Dr. Siti Hafsyah Idris from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, and Yulinda Adharani, S.H., M.H from Faculty of Law Univeristas Padjadjaran.

With the establishment of Symbiosis collaboration between UiTMLaw & Faculty of Law Univeristas Padjadjaran, more collaborations between FHUnpad and UiTMLaw are very much expected to be held in the future.
