Quality Assurance Unit of Unpad

The Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) is a supporting body to the Dean in the implementation of the quality assurance system at the Faculty/School level.

Duties of the Quality Assurance Unit

The Faculty/School Quality Assurance Unit is tasked with supporting the Dean of the Faculty/School in executing quality assurance duties.

Functions of the Quality Assurance Unit

1. Implementing the academic, research, and community service quality assurance system in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and Unpad's quality assurance guidelines;
2. Formulating the academic, research, and community service quality assurance manual at the Faculty/School level with reference to Unpad's quality assurance guidelines;
3. Coordinating the Quality Control Committees within the scope of the Faculty/School;
4. Implementing the guidelines and procedures for the internal evaluation of academic, research, and community service quality assurance established by Unpad;
5. Implementing the internal evaluation instruments for academic, research, and community service quality assurance established by Unpad;
6. Executing academic, research, and community service quality assurance across all work units within the Faculty/School environment;
7. Conducting monitoring and review of Study Programme accreditation forms;
8. Providing inputs and recommendations to the Dean of the Faculty/School regarding quality assurance matters;
9. Executing the development and implementation of quality standards and audits in academics, research, and community service at the Faculty/School level; and
10. Conducting coordination with the Central Quality Assurance Center (SPM) in executing quality assurance.

The Head of the Quality Assurance Unit at FH Unpad has the following functions:

1. Ensuring the implementation of the quality assurance system in each work unit and Study Programme within the scope of FH Unpad;
2. Ensuring continuous quality improvement programmes based on evaluation and audit results;
3. Compiling monitoring and evaluation materials for learning development strategies and methods, as well as instructional design and application services in accordance with the established work programme;
4. Conducting reviews of academic and research quality standards prepared by technical directorates in the fields of education, non-degree education, research, implementation, and community service, including:
   • curriculum development;
   • teaching method development;
   • instructional application design and development;
   • learning innovation product development;
   • learning strategies and methods development;
   • teaching material development;
   • standardization of Lecturer and researcher quality;
   • standardization of research cooperation;
   • standardization of research topic quality and relevance;
   • academic and research ethics standards; and
   • standardization of Student and Lecturer involvement in community service.
5. Executing the preparation of technical guidelines and regulations regarding academic and research quality standards within the scope of the Study Programmes;
6. Executing internal supervision and evaluation related to academic and research quality standards according to the established quality standard references;
7. Executing quality assurance standard reviews of the accreditation forms prepared by the Study Programmes;
8. Coordinating human resource development with the Dean of FH Unpad for the implementation of national and international accreditation processes;
9. Coordinating the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the document preparation assistance system, as well as preparations for national and international accreditation visitation together with the Study Programme Quality Control Committees.
